Course Location: Class location is 450 Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne NJ 07470. (Click to see Google maps). Note its located directly across the street from Passaic County Sheriff's Department. Plenty of free Parking Available.

Social Distance: We will maintain 6 feet of separation during the course, except during the Team Dynamics for volunteers who wish to participate. Each student will have their own manikin and gloves. Please wear your mask. Courses sizes are limited to 10 students, payment is required to secure your seat.

Course Info: HeartCode PALS is a web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children. Using eSimulation technology, students assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings where they can apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning about pediatric advanced life support.

You must have completed the online course via the American Heart Association Online Portal and have printed up the certificate with the serial number. The certificate with the serial number will look similar to the examples below, and you must bring it with you to your in person skills test. We will verify your serial number and ask you for identification. Please see eLearning Page for Complete Information on all Online AHA Courses.

Part 1 Online Portion Course Length from AHA: Approximately 8-10 hours Online (Note: If you not good at computer learning or fast navigation online you should take the course all in person.)

Part 2 & 3 In-Person Course Length: Approximately 3-4 hours in person

Total Course Length: Approximately 10-14 hours online & in person

Course Fee: $95.00 Payment (Cash/Check/Credit Card/Debit). After you register for the class below, you will be given the option to pay now via credit/debit card. (Refund Policy)

Certification: Two (2) Year American Heart Association (AHA) Certification - Same Day AHA Certification - Card Issued at end of Course pending successful completion of written and MegaCode Testing. eCards Issued at end of Course.

Prerequisite: Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR card. If your BLS card is expired, you must complete the BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion challenge testing during the class and written exam, an additional $42. If you do not have an American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider card you must take a full course. After successful completion you will be issued a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Card.

Precourse Self Assessment Test: Pre-Test is an optional module to help you pass the in-person Megacode testing. Pre-Test Available at www.heart.org/eccstudent Click on "Pre-course Assessment" Password Give on Registration.

Steps to Register for the AHA Online courses at ShowMeCPR:

  1. Register new user on the American Heart Association online portal website at http://www.onlineaha.org
  2. Once Logged on, pick "Course Catalog"
  3. Select the proper online course from the options (Not sure which one to pick, call us 973-694-2893)
  4. Complete and Pass Part 1 from the American Heart Association at your own pace
  5. Print Certificate of completion with serial number
  6. Registar for course using the form below

BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Requirement / CPR Add-On
You must have a current (not expired) American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR card prior to the start of the course. If expired, you have the option to renew your BLS for Healthcare Providers card during the Pediatric Advanced Life Support course, for an additional $42. Since this is a “test-out” option, it is the student’s responsibility to be familiar with the AHA Guidelines for CPR before testing and written BLS Exam. You will receive both certification.
